Body mass index (BMI) is a calculated number based on the weight and height you provided when you activated your kit. It is used as a screening tool to estimate whether an adult is at a healthy weight and to estimate total body fat. For adults, a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9 is considered normal.

People who are obese have a higher risk of developing many diseases and health conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. We encourage you to share your result with your own primary care provider, who can consider your individual factors when evaluating your BMI and recommending the appropriate next steps.
