What is a 1-sample kit?

A 1-sample kit tests your urine for both gonorrhea and chlamydia. This means that you will collect a urine sample to be tested.

What is a 3-sample kit?

A 3-sample kit tests your urine, anus, and throat for both gonorrhea and chlamydia. This means that you will get a kit that collects a urine sample, throat swab sample, and anal swab sample.

You only need to collect the samples from parts of your body that have had contact with someone else’s genitals or a shared sex toy.

What do I do if I drop the swab and/or spill the liquid from the tube?

Do not touch the soft tip of the swab with your hands or lay it down on any surface. If the contents of the tube are spilled or if a swab is dropped, call Support at (833) 241-8824 or email patients@color.com to request a new kit.

What do I do if I spill the liquid on myself?

If at any time the contents of the tube are spilled on your skin, wash the affected area with soap and water. If the contents of the tube are splashed in your eyes, immediately flush your eyes with water. Notify your healthcare provider if irritation develops.

Will my kit expire?

Your kit will expire by the date printed on the kit.

I forgot to return my sample. Is it still OK?

Your sample should be dropped off at a USPS mailbox no longer than 24 hours after you collect it. Find your nearest mailbox. You can also schedule a pickup if you prefer. If it’s been longer than 48 hours, please call Support at (833) 241-8824 or email patients@color.com.
