Who is eligible for chlamydia and gonorrhea testing with Alameda County?
You can get a free STI test if you are over the age of 18 and visit Color’s clinic at NAACP Hayward.
If you are having symptoms of chlamydia or gonorrhea or if you are pregnant, please talk to a healthcare provider. If you think that you may have been exposed recently, consider waiting 7-21 days since exposure, as tests may not accurately detect the infection.

Who will see someone’s results and data?
Test results will only be shared as permitted or required by law. The Alameda County Health Department and the California Department of Public Health will receive test results for public health purposes. The sample itself also may be analyzed for public health purposes. De-identified specimens and data may be used by Color and Color partners as described in Color’s Privacy Policy.
The healthcare provider who ordered your test and Color will also have access to test results. If you have a positive test result, a Color clinician will call you to discuss treatment.
