While the preservative is safe for short-term use, prolonged exposure could potentially aggravate pre-existing eye, skin, or respiratory conditions.

  • Inhalation: If you experience symptoms (i.e., dizzy or lightheaded), move to fresh air and ventilate the suspected area (i.e., open windows and doors). Obtain medical attention if breathing difficulty persists.

  • Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for at least 5 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing for up to 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention if irritation develops or persists.

  • Skin contact: For minor skin contact wash with soap and water. If you spill it on your body, remove any contaminated clothing. Drench the affected area with water for at least 5 minutes. Obtain medical attention if irritation develops or persists.

  • Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Obtain medical attention.
