How accurate is Color’s FIT?

We use the FDA-cleared assay OC-Auto FIT,. The OC-Auto FIT used by Color Health is one of the highest performing and most commonly used tests on the market. This test is 99% accurate at detecting blood in the stool if it’s present and 99% accurate in confirming when blood is not in the stool.

Importantly, not all ‘positive’ FIT results will result in a diagnosis of colorectal cancer. If colorectal cancer is present, FIT is ~74% accurate at detecting it. If colorectal cancer is not present, FIT is about ~94% accurate at returning a negative result.
