Where are testing sites located?

  • Pier 30/32 at Bryant and Embarcadero - It is meant for drive-thru tests, though we can accommodate those on foot, bike, scooter, or other vehicle.

  • SOMA at 7th and Brannan (600 7th St, San Francisco, CA 94103) - Convenient for people on foot.

Who is eligible to get testing?

  • Any person living in San Francisco that has 1 symptom or has been in close contact with a positive COVID-19 person

  • Any essential or frontline worker serving the community of San Francisco regardless of symptoms or exposure

How much is the test?

You will not be charged for the test. If you have health insurance, you will be asked to provide that information when you schedule your appointment.

How can I schedule an appointment?

San Francisco essential workers and San Francisco residents can schedule an appointment here.

Who will my results be shared with? (you, ordering physician, appropriate DPH, DHR if you are an employee of city/county)

You and the physician who ordered your test will receive a copy of your results. We will also share your results with the California Reportable Disease Information Exchange (CalREDIE), as required by law. If you are an employee of the City and County of San Francisco, we will also share your results with the Department of Human Resources and Department of Public Health to keep our workplaces safe and healthy.

How is Color working with the city?

The City and County of San Francisco has partnered with Color to provide COVID-19 testing to essential workers and people who live in San Francisco. Color will prepare your results, notify you when they are ready, and give you a secure way of viewing them online. Color complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”) to maintain the privacy and security of your protected health information.
