Who will provide my consultation?

Your consultation will be performed by a Wheel Provider Network prescribing clinician. Wheel utilizes a comprehensive credentialing system to ensure that their clinicians possess the credentials, training, licensing, experience and competence to provide high-quality and cost-effective care.

How will I talk to a clinician?

Your clinician will complete the consultation with you on a video call. If the information you provide indicates that the COVID-19 antiviral Paxlovid may be appropriate, you will be given a link for a video consultation with a clinician from the telehealth provider Wheel.

How quickly can I talk to a clinician?

Filling out the survey to determine whether you are eligible to speak to a clinician about Paxlovid should take you about 5 minutes. If treatment may be appropriate for you, your clinician will join the call in 5–30 minutes to complete the evaluation (within standard business hours of 8 AM to 10 PM EST, 7 days a week).

Do I need special software for the consultation?

You can use any smartphone or computer with video capabilities. No special software is required.

What if I miss my consultation?

A clinician will wait up to 10 minutes for you to join the video call. If the clinician cannot complete a video call with you, they will not be able to complete your evaluation. If you miss a consultation, please request another one through your Color dashboard

What hours are consultations available?

Clinicians are available for consultations from 8 AM to 10 PM EST, 7 days a week.

What languages are supported?

Consultations are currently available in English, Haitian Creole, Spanish, and Portuguese. If you indicate you speak a language other than English when requesting a consultation, a medical interpreter will join your consultation. They may ask you the same questions you answered when you requested your consultation, so that they can translate them into English for your clinician. At this time, documentation of your visit will be in English. Additionally, follow-up questions to Wheel’s Support team will need to be in English.
