You can invite your relatives join a Shared Family History with Color’s health history tool. When your relatives join a Shared Family History, they will be able to add to and correct information that you have provided in your health history. Once your health history is shared, relatives who are collaborating in the tool will be able to see it.

Those invited to the Shared Family History will be able to see the following information:

  • Your name, age, disease history, and age at diagnosis (if applicable)
  • Your relatives’ ages, disease histories, and age at diagnosis (if applicable)

They will not be able to see the following:

  • Your ancestry
  • Why you are having genetic testing done
  • Age when period started or if you have ever given birth to a child (if applicable)
  • If you have had a mastectomy, oophorectomy, breast biopsy, colon polyps, bone marrow transplant or a blood transfusion (if applicable)
  • Your Color results (if applicable)

Relatives collaborating in the Shared Family History will be able to:

  • Invite other relatives
  • See only the visible information listed above
  • Edit other relatives’ information

They will not be able to edit your information
